Crawford council approves street closures for Cattle Call and shifts two meeting dates

At its Oct. 28 meeting, the Crawford City Council approved two procedural items affecting municipal scheduling and events. First, the council approved the Cattle Call Committee’s request to close Main Street (from 303 2nd to 102 Main) and Second Street (from 303 2nd to 445 2nd) for the Cattle Call event scheduled Nov. 1, 2025. The motion was made by Council Member Christopher Dean and seconded by Council Member Patti Page; the vote was recorded as unanimous among the members present.
Second, the council agreed to move two regularly scheduled council meetings that fell adjacent to holidays: the Nov. 25 meeting was moved to Nov. 24, 2025, and the Dec. 23 meeting was moved to Dec. 22, 2025. City Clerk Teri Miller proposed the changes and Council Member Dianne Gaston moved approval, seconded by Christopher Dean; the motion passed unanimously.
Both items were processed as routine New Business and included no conditions or amendments in the meeting record. City staff will proceed with notifications and logistical arrangements for the street closures and updated meeting calendar.
