Senate honors astronaut Captain Victor J. Glover Jr. on the floor

“Please join me in welcoming and honoring Captain Victor J. Glover Junior, a distinguished United States Navy captain, and NASA astronaut,” the sponsor said, recounting Glover’s more than 178 days in space and multiple spacewalks. Colleagues including Senator Rubio offered congratulations and encouraged students to pursue STEM careers. Senators and guests gathered for photographs on the floor.
Glover attended the session with family members and remained on the floor for recognition and photographs.
