Crawford mayor closes budget hearing after clerk outlines state and city budget differences

City Clerk Teri Miller provided an overview of the state budget materials submitted by GBE accounting firm and explained how those materials relate to the city’s proposed fiscal year 2025–2026 budget. Miller told the council that the Ponderosa Villa budget was not included in the materials submitted to the state and that it is not included in the city’s audit records.
Council members Patti Page, Christopher Dean and Dianne Gaston discussed distinctions between the state budget documents and the city’s internal budget, asking procedural and scope questions about how the two sets of figures correspond.
