Council authorizes airport design and business‑plan contracts to position terminal for federal grants

Staff said earlier design-phase expenditures can be rolled into federal grant matches.
Strategic business plan: Council also approved a purchase order up to $88,700 to Dibble Engineers to prepare an airport strategic business plan to guide future development, identify market sectors, infrastructure needs and help position the airport for economic development opportunities.
Voting and procurement: Both actions were approved by voice vote during the regular meeting; staff indicated invoices will be processed as deliverables are provided under the airport’s on‑call professional services contract.
