Union County Tourism briefed Plain City Council on 2024 lodging gains and a phased wayfinding signage plan

Eylon described the recently adopted Wayfinding Signage Master Plan and outlined the program’s phased approach. She said design standards, proposed typeface and sign sizing are set, and that the county has held extended discussions with the Ohio Department of Transportation about specific sign locations; maintenance strategies have been discussed with impacted municipalities. The county anticipates the first phase will proceed this year and expects signs to last roughly 20–25 years before replacement is needed. Eylon also noted the new UnionCountyOH.com website launched in 2024 and has seen significant use.
