Plain City council sets May 12 public hearings on zoning changes (including medical marijuana rules) and approves several ordinances and resolutions

Councilmember T. Harriman moved to set public hearings for ZC-25-2 (fees, Chapter 1135.04), ZC-25-3 (signs, Chapter 1199), ZC-25-4 (B2 Community Business District, Chapter 1163) and ZC-25-5 (medical marijuana cultivators, processors and retail dispensaries, Chapter 1183.04). Each motion was seconded and approved by the members present; the hearings are scheduled for May 12, 2025.
On unfinished business the council approved on second reading Ordinance 07-2025 (amending Chapter 1181.06 application procedures), Ordinance 08-2025 (amending Chapter 1181.04 development provisions), and Ordinance 09-2025 (replacement pages to the Plain City Codified Ordinances). The council also approved Resolution 15-2025 (re-establishing the Personnel & Finance, Capital Improvement Project Committee), Resolution 16-2025 (authorizing Plain City’s participation in the Ohio Department of Transportation Maple Street Bridge Replacement Project), and Resolution 17-2025 (accepting the Housing Council’s CRA recommendations). Motions to approve those measures were made and seconded; minutes record each as 'All in favor.'
