Hancock County animal control officer resigns; Newbury Neck road concerns and cistern delivery noted

The Select Board recorded that Hancock County Regional Animal Control Officer Nicole has resigned; the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office will cover animal control calls until a replacement is named.
The Board also discussed two Newbury Neck items: a cistern destined for Newbury Neck will arrive shortly and Pat Kane will coordinate placement with K.J. Dugas, and a resident (Kathy Tracy) raised concerns about heavy trucks deteriorating Newbury Neck Road and urged consideration of weight limits or permitting to limit damage.
The Board did not adopt new weight restrictions at the June 3 meeting; the concern was noted for future consideration. The meeting also included a note that it is time to reappoint the town auditor for the fiscal year ending June 30.
