Kane Scott, a Page resident and small-business owner, presented a concept for a 16-lane Canyon Lanes Bowling Center on parcel 810-6015 at the corner of Coppermine Road and Osprey. Scott said the facility would offer a contemporary 16-lane hall, café, arcade, meeting space and a full-service bar intended for families and casual bowlers.
Scott told council the parcel currently lacks sewer service and the developer anticipates installing approximately 2,100 feet of sewer piping and four manholes to reach an existing connection at Lake Pal Campground or, possibly, to Hall Road. "There are two easements on that property and of course there is unknown issues with a possible rock" on the site, Scott said, adding that detailed geotechnical work is needed before construction could proceed.
Why it matters: The proposal could add a year-round entertainment venue and new business to Page, but the developer must address infrastructure costs and easements that could affect project feasibility. Scott said the sewer infrastructure would be conveyed to the city after installation, potentially serving neighboring parcels.
Next steps: The mayor said the parcel-sale/disposition will be discussed in executive session and council will consider the developer's proposal in that closed session.
