The North Logan Local Building Authority unanimously approved revisions to the fiscal year 2026 budget and adopted a tentative fiscal year 2027 LBA budget at a meeting June 2, 2026, at the North Logan City offices.
Alan Luce presented the proposed revisions to the FY2026 Redevelopment Agency budget and the proposed FY2027 LBA budget and told the board there were no major changes from the prior drafts. Luce clarified that “the LBA budget is primarily structured to pay the Community Center bond payment.”
Mayor Lyndsay Peterson opened public hearings on the FY2026 budget revision at 7:30 p.m. and on the proposed FY2027 LBA budget at 7:31 p.m.; both hearings were closed immediately after opening because there were no public comments.
Emily Schmidt moved to adopt the proposed FY2026 revisions and to adopt the proposed FY2027 LBA budgets; Kenny Reese seconded. The minutes record the vote as passing unanimously with Buzzy Mullahkhel, Emily Schmidt, Kenny Reese, Mark Hancey, and Larry Hepworth voting in favor. (The minutes list those five members as voting in favor.)
Earlier in the meeting, Schmidt moved to move out of City Council and convene the Local Building Authority; Buzzy Mullahkhel seconded that procedural motion, which also passed. After the budget vote, Mullahkhel moved to adjourn the LBA and reconvene as the City Council; Schmidt seconded and the motion passed. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Peterson at 7:28 p.m. and adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
The minutes record that the LBA approved the minutes on June 17, 2026; the meeting was transcribed and recorded by Scott Bennett.
Because the LBA session focused on budget adoption and bond debt service and drew no public comment, no additional public-record actions or referrals were taken at the meeting.
