Steve, speaking for Public Works, asked council to authorize publication of an Invitation for Bids for a Library Zeroscape project funded under a WIFA grant agreement (WC3-109-2024). He said staff received the fully executed WIFA agreement in January 2024 for three projects totaling $1,230,783.63 and that the zeroscape project will contribute to a combined grant package; staff offered a project summary and schedule.
Key details announced to council included: IFB publication on May 7, 2025; a pre-bid conference on May 27, 2025; and a bid opening scheduled for June 12, 2025. The project was described as replacing portions of the library landscaping to conserve water and is estimated in staff materials to save roughly 2.88 million gallons of water annually. Staff confirmed the town’s grant match obligations have been satisfied and that certain reimbursements are pending.
Council moved, seconded and approved authorization to publish the IFB. No additional financing action was taken at the meeting beyond confirming the published schedule and grant references.
