Planning commission defers several rezoning requests, schedules multiple cases for July and August

At its June 17 meeting the commission deferred multiple rezoning and development cases to July 15 or August 20, including Z‑26‑014, Z‑26‑012, Z‑26‑001 and Z‑26‑013; staff will continue review and the items will return to future hearings.
The South Fulton Planning Commission used its June 17 meeting to clear several agenda items into future calendars.
Early in the meeting the commission deferred KZ‑26‑014 / CDP‑26‑004 (5250 Northfield Boulevard), Z‑26‑012 / CDP‑26‑005 (rezoning to senior housing, applicant present and agreeing to defer), and Z‑26‑001 / CDP‑26‑003 (heavy industrial distribution campus) to the July 15 Planning Commission meeting. Later in the evening the commission accepted the applicant’s request to defer Z‑26‑013 (7000 & 7050 Bishop Road) to an August 20 hearing so the applicant and staff could continue technical review.
Staff will update each file and notify applicants of submittal requirements for the next hearing. The commission also approved procedural items including the meeting agenda, minutes and multiple staff findings of fact across cases.
