Lincoln County commissioners approved a series of reappointments and reviewed several remaining vacancies during their Dec. 17 meeting.
The commission reappointed Patty Kinslow to the Board of Health after noting her prior service. Commissioners also approved reappointments of five fair-board applicants and discussed that one fair-board vacancy remains. The Lincoln County Port Authority reappointed Kevin Pek and still has one open seat. The weed board reappointed John BB; the Eureka Cemetery Board reappointed Teresa Torres and Janice Newman. Commissioners also noted an open seat on Eureka Parks and Trails (Bob Cuff intended to reapply but missed paperwork) and a vacancy on the Troy TV district with an expression of interest from one resident.
For the Troy Rural Fire District, the board recommended Crystal Denton over an alternate applicant; the commission moved, seconded and approved her appointment.
Commissioners handled each of these items by motion and voice vote. No public commenters spoke on these appointments during the votes.
Taken together, the actions update the county’s roster of advisory boards and identify several residual vacancies countywide that staff said will be reposted or filled when applications are submitted.
