Board adds trauma-informed, threat-assessment and AI policies to tonight’s agenda for discussion

Members discussed whether to keep the items on the June agenda as discussion-only or to postpone first/second reads to July and August in light of changes at the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) that affect how policies are processed for second read. The board ultimately agreed to place the policies on the agenda as discussion items, preserving the option for a subsequent second-read vote at the next meeting or in July.
The policies will be available in Agenda Manager and at the district office as required under the Sunshine Act, and the board invited public comment on them during the citizen comment period or at the next meeting when they appear as second-read items.
