Upper Adams hires Dr. Jennifer Chamberlain as Director of Student Services

The Upper Adams School District Board unanimously approved a job offer to Dr. Jennifer Chamberlain to become the district’s Director of Student Services.
Mr. Lauren Lustig reported that the candidate pool was strong and that the interview team recommended Dr. Chamberlain after two rounds of interviews. Superintendent Dr. Deshong described Dr. Chamberlain as an educational leader with more than 26 years of experience in public education, including special education administration, instructional leadership, curriculum development, and staff supervision. He said she has expertise in IDEA compliance, inclusive programming, and professional development across K–12 settings. Dr. Chamberlain, who was present at the meeting, said she was "very excited about this opportunity" and looks forward to working with the district.
The hiring motion was presented under the personnel portion of the agenda and was approved unanimously by the board. Additional personnel items on the agenda included building substitute appointments, a school nurse hire (Stephanie Webb, pending paperwork), changes to job descriptions, supplemental coaching contracts, and an amended retirement date for a business-affairs administrative assistant.
Next steps: Dr. Chamberlain will assume the Director of Student Services role subject to final paperwork and any onboarding steps required by the administration.
