Board tables dental/fluoride contract pending legal review and equity options

A board member said the tabling allows the solicitor to review whether providing fluoride to uninsured students on an opt-in basis is legally and logistically feasible and requested the administration return with options at a future meeting.
Separately, the board discussed and approved a two-year $2,000 educational consultant contract for Robin Brewer; the dental/fluoride contract specifically was the item tabled for further review.
Outcome: the dental/fluoride contract was tabled; the administration and solicitor will follow up and may add the item to the July agenda once more information is available.
