Commission recommends FAA concurrence for Mission Field pavement and PAPI work

Park County commissioners on March 24 recommended that the FAA proceed with concurrence and award for a pavement maintenance and PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) project at Mission Field Airport.
Will (on the phone), a consultant working with the county’s airport board, explained the recommendation of award packet sent to FAA includes contractor checks (debarment and suspension) and requests FAA concurrence. Once FAA concurs, the county will move forward to contract execution with the selected bidder.
Commissioners voted to recommend the FAA award letter. Staff said the county and city will not contribute funds to the project beyond the FAA process and that the package is a standard federal‑assistance procurement step.
