Erin, regional branch manager for Bordeaux, told the board the branch's reopening weekend drew roughly 1,500 visitors and showcased activities including DJs, balloon art, marionettes and tours of the civil-rights room. Erin said the branch continues robust programming: 680 programs through May with another 70 scheduled for June, projecting about 750 programs for the fiscal year.
Staff highlighted youth and teen programming (regular story times, creation station, anime club, teen outreach), adult offerings (songwriting workshops and an adult book club), and increased computer and technology classes for adults and seniors. Erin said Bordeaux averaged about 12,000 visits per month and recorded over 2,000 study-room bookings in 11 months; meeting-room bookings exceeded 300.
Erin and Aaron also noted Bordeaux is an active election site and reported that, during the last early-voting period, Bordeaux topped usage charts for Davidson County. Outreach coordinator Shelley was credited for community engagement, including festival booths and partnerships with local businesses for program support. The board praised the branch's community activation and outreach efforts.
