"This plan will cost Dunn County about $37,000 and will evaluate the feasibility as well as the potential costs and benefits of passenger rail service from Eau Claire to St. Paul," Dunbar said. The item will be brought forward by the Community Resources and Tourism Committee as an intergovernmental planning agreement and a capital-improvement request to support the study.
The request, as described in Dunbar's briefing, is for planning and study work only; it does not commit the county to construction or operations.
