The Marlborough Lake Advisory Commission on Jan. 13 discussed its priorities for 2026, including creating awards for exemplary property owners, hosting education and outreach on good property-management practices, and participating in America 250 town celebrations.
Louise Concodello, who said she serves on the town's America 250 Committee, told the commission the committee is considering fireworks at the lake for the Fourth of July and selling historical calendars to raise funds; she said the library and school would be involved in related events. Commissioners suggested asking for budget funds to support an award program and discussed holding a seminar to inform lake residents about property management practices.
The commission also recorded personnel changes: Gayle Anton has resigned from the commission and Jason Valentine plans to renew his alternate membership. Dan Dupre noted winter photos taken of the lake that can be used in the commission's newsletter.
The commission approved the Nov. 18, 2025 minutes at the opening of the meeting. No formal votes were recorded on the 2026 goals; commissioners expressed preliminary support for outreach and participation in townwide America 250 events and requested follow-up on budget implications.
