The Caro City Council approved four procurement motions on Sept. 2 that together commit $143,207.65 for lighting, utilities and equipment purchases.
Council authorized purchase of 59 LED retrofit kits from Medler Electric Co #3 for $29,812.35 (Motion 25-M-186), and separately approved purchase of 10 light poles and bases from the same vendor for $37,895.30 (Motion 25-M-187). Both motions passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
Council also voted to purchase and install a generator for Well No. 1 from Problem Solved LLC for $53,200.00 (Motion 25-M-188); that motion passed unanimously. Finally, the council approved purchase of a Kubota from Farm Depot for $22,300.00 (Motion 25-M-189). The Kubota motion passed with four votes in favor and two opposed (Councilmember Charlotte Kish and Mayor Karen Snider voted no).
The consent agenda and agenda approval were also approved earlier in the meeting (Motions 25-M-184 and 25-M-185). City staff will coordinate scheduling, delivery and installation with the listed vendors and return vendor invoices and project schedules to the clerk and council as part of implementation.
