Bull said Coventry issues a weekday pass for $15 and a weekend pass for $30, Columbia offers a seasonal pass at $300, and East Hampton restricts parking to residents only. On that basis, the commission favored a day-pass model rather than a seasonal or resident-only system.
Commissioners flagged three immediate follow-ups: determine how many day passes will be available, set a final price for the passes, and decide how to distribute new Park/Transfer Station stickers to Marlborough residents. Bull and Commission Chair Barbara Lazzari will meet with the town manager to discuss implementation.
The minutes do not specify a timeline for a final decision or the proposed pass price; commission members agreed to collect additional information before bringing a formal proposal back to the commission.
