Jefferson road updates: North Mountain delay, salt shipment due Oct. 20 and culvert inspections planned

Nathan Northrup, the town's Road Commissioner, told the Select Board that North Mountain Road work has been delayed because he intends to perform the work himself; he and board members said he expects to be on site within the next few weeks.
Board member Robert Clark asked about remaining road funds; Lynne will follow up with Scott, who is expected to attend the Oct. 8 meeting, and will check the 2023 audit numbers to report on account balances.
Wayne reported the town's salt and sand delivery is scheduled for Oct. 20, 2025. The board asked Jeffery to inspect culverts for beaver-related blockages. The minutes record Hodgkins Hill Road as blocked again; Atkins Road halfway blocked; Punk Point Road halfway full; and Egypt Road reported without problems.
No formal motion or vote was recorded for roadwork scheduling or funding at this meeting; the board awaits financial figures at the next meeting when Scott is present.
