Marlborough Cemetery Committee accepts minutes, outlines stone‑cleaning plan and pursues preservation grants

The minutes state, “Craig Czaja of Czaja Brothers, Inc. will handle burials,” and that the sexton will bury cremains and begin headstone cleaning.
Under winter fees, the minutes record that the winter fee was discontinued; the entry does not specify a recorded vote on that item. Under new business the committee set an operational guideline for monument cleaning: the sexton will begin stone cleaning when temperatures exceed 40°F.
Volunteers and outreach were also discussed. On unfinished business Griffore said he will check with Dominick and Sons concerning billing for stonework tied to neglected‑cemetery grant expenses. Under updates the committee recorded that Betsy Ross flags will be ordered and that it will coordinate with the Sons of the American Revolution and America250 partners on placement; Griffore is compiling historical cemetery information for attendees and members will be notified of future America250 meetings.
The meeting adjourned at 9:47 a.m. after a motion by Jim Tillona, seconded by Sheila Guzman; the minutes record all members present voted in favor.
