Williamson himself addressed the assembly, thanking colleagues and family. He described highlights including work on local capital projects, litigation that led to improved intergovernmental communication and civic improvements such as the new senior center and public safety facilities. “I love this job. I loved my town,” he said, and thanked many former colleagues and family members for their support.
Council members said a small reception would follow the meeting and invited attendees to an informal gathering at a local restaurant.
