Belgrade volunteers revise senior-resource trifold; discuss dialing codes, district contacts and emergency numbers

Committee members reviewed the draft trifold for senior resources and worked through formatting, content and distribution steps.

Kristin said she would correct name spellings in the minutes and finalize the brochure text so it can be converted into a trifold template for printing. Members flagged spacing and template issues and discussed whether to list specific officeholders or to print district contact lines to avoid frequent reprints when representatives change. One participant suggested replacing individual names with district contacts: "If we put House District 58 and then put the clerk of the house number and then put Senate District and put the Senate office, then if they have the number like they can call that number and find out who their representative is," a participant said.

The group also checked emergency and non-emergency numbers and recommended including Belgrade Fire & Rescue, county sheriff and the Belgrade Regional Health Center on the brochure. Members suggested printing an oversized magnet or calendar of emergency numbers for easy reference and discussed image selection and photo-release concerns for Facebook and printed materials.

On supplies, the committee agreed to put a visible warning on sand buckets noting the sand mix contains salt after a member described garden damage caused by salt-laden sand. Kristin will produce an editable file for layout edits and forward it to Mary for final printing, and members will fold and prepare brochures for distribution once finalized.

The committee did not enact a new ordinance or policy; the meeting focused on editorial changes, content accuracy and distribution logistics.
