Brian Hill, manager for the utility enterprise, said these contracts renew or allocate portions of the CRISP pool and other allotments and can lower the city’s wholesale power costs compared with budgeted projections.

The contracts are long-term in form (staff described terms extending to 2057) but include tribal or customer 'off-ramps' with notice periods (tribes have options to withdraw with six months’ notice; some customers with one year, per staff summary).
