Oak Brook Park District OKs part-time scholarship, OKRs and fund transfers

Commissioner Truedson moved and Commissioner Trombetta seconded the motions to approve the scholarship and the OKRs; both measures passed by roll call vote, Ayes 5, Nays 0. Chief Financial Officer Marco Salinas outlined forthcoming transfers under Ordinance 23-0220 to cover debt service and capital projects; Dr. Laure Kosey described an annual, market-based adjustment to salary ranges limited to range changes rather than new hires.
The board also discussed delegating authority to the Executive Director to approve change orders not to exceed $30,000 for projects related to Central Park North and associated concession/restroom/storage construction; the board asked staff to document and report such approvals in board reports.
Next steps: staff will implement the scholarship program, finalize transfers authorized in Ordinance 23-0220, apply the approved salary-range adjustments, and include change-order activity in future board reports.
