Logan said the agency used CSBG funds to backfill gaps in other programs and to serve households that did not qualify for other limited aid during COVID and similar emergencies.
Supervisors moved and approved the four template letters of support on the spot.
What this means: if the state or federal appropriations are reduced, these local programs could face service cuts that would affect preschool slots, family supports and energy assistance for low‑income households. The board's letters are intended to bolster the agency’s state and federal advocacy ahead of funding decisions.
