The Board of License Commissioners approved a Class F beer‑and‑wine license for Phantom Farms’ craft/vendor fair on Aug. 15, 2026; a Class F1 full‑liquor license for a wedding reception for Gary Grineer on Oct. 3, 2026; and a Class F1 license for a graduation event operated by EasyBar LLC (owner Steven Halis said he will supply an updated insurance certificate). The board also granted a time‑limited extension of hours for Club Lucatania during the 2026 FIFA World Cup; commissioners emphasized on‑site monitoring and restricted openings.
On the town‑council docket, councilors approved special event entertainment licenses for local vendors (Dips Dips Catering, Fit events at Cumberland Monastery, Phantom Farms character events, Secret Beauty Spa) — approvals were subject to standard promoter and insurance requirements and included staff reminders about cleanup and restoration obligations for parks.
Two ordinances under old business passed on roll call votes: ordinance 2604 (correcting a truck‑route reference from "Highland Road" to "Highland Avenue") and ordinance 2605 (placement of a one‑hour parking sign on East Kilburn Street to support a barber shop; effective hours 9 a.m.–5 p.m.). Several other technical ordinances (2606, 2607, 2616 and a larger tax‑exemption update, 2608) were tabled or continued for later meetings to allow staff and subcommittees to refine codification and numbers.
