Cherokee County DSS schedules strategic-planning discussion for May as commissioners press for plans

Commissioner Dr. Sue Ledford told the board that commissioners plan to take a more open, data-driven approach and asked departments to present honest assessments of needs to inform the upcoming budget cycle. Dr. Catherine Yost expressed support for the agency’s proactive planning and offered to help chair or co-chair outreach events that might promote foster-care recruitment and adoption awareness.
