Staff said the district’s residential fee would rise from $5.17 to $5.38 per square foot and commercial/industrial from $0.84 to $0.87 per square foot (the district receives two‑thirds of the fee; the high school district receives one‑third). Board approved the legally allowable increase. Passed 3–0.
• Resolution 25‑26‑16 — Authorize temporary interfund transfers of special or restricted funds for cash‑flow management (short‑term borrowing that must be repaid). Passed 3–0.
• Resolution 25‑26‑17 — Education Protection Account reporting (Proposition 30 reporting of EPA uses such as qualifying salaries); staff presented the required annual report and the board adopted the EPA resolution. Passed 3–0.
• Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators for 2026–27 — Standard annual authorization to exhaust recruitment efforts and, if necessary, use emergency credentials for hard‑to‑fill positions (e.g., special education). Passed 3–0.
• Consent agenda items — Multiple contracts, renewals, grants, partnerships (including agreements with Hope International University, California Baptist University, Biola University, Hazel Health Services), CTE job description updates, and an OCDE innovative grant for tiny homes ($525,000) were approved as part of the consent agenda.
