Brandon Myers of Region 51 Emergency Management gave a quarterly report at the Lincoln County board meeting on May 11 and recognized entries in the Severe Weather Awareness poster contest.
Myers said 134 posters were received, and he recognized participating schools McDaid Elementary and Jefferson Elementary. He announced contest placements: first place and an Honorable State Mention to Josephine Peiffer; second place to Natalia Martinez-Florez; third place to Jack Pieper; and honorable mentions to Charli Crewdson and Zyler Cissell.
Later in the meeting a representative from NACO Benefit Services presented information on the county’s 2026–2027 Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance renewal. The transcript records the presentation but does not record any motion, vote or decision relating to the renewal.
The board also heard concerns from elected officials and department heads and received committee reports; claims were approved as presented.
