At its Feb. 10 meeting the Lower Pottsgrove Township Authority approved routine financial business, including a memorandum of understanding to transfer a 2013 Ford F‑350 utility truck to the Township and authorization to pay bills totaling $436,802.02.
Manager Edward C. Wagner told the board the Board of Commissioners had approved the MOU at their Jan. 16 meeting and that Solicitor Stephen Kalis had reviewed the document and found it acceptable. Joe McGeehan moved to approve the MOU; Joseph Groff seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 5‑0. Wagner said the Authority will list the older 2008 F‑350 on Municibid and that proceeds from that sale will go to the Authority.
Solicitor Stephen Kalis read the Treasurer’s report dated Feb. 10, 2025, showing operating account balances of $3,629,710.66 and capital accounts totaling $1,842,997.44. Mark Loshnowsky moved to accept the Treasurer’s report; Joseph Groff seconded and the motion passed, 5‑0.
Kalis also read the bills for payment. Capital invoices included Sacks & Sons ($47,640) and Kappe Associates ($28,920). The minutes list a large operating invoice from Levan Machine & Truck Repair described as a “Final Addition” for $115,822.00; other operating items included routine charges such as hospital/benefit and utility payments. The total operating register was recorded as $436,802.02. Mark Loshnowsky moved to pay the bills; Sean Pence seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 5‑0.
Operations items with direct budgetary impact were noted elsewhere in the meeting: Manager Wagner said an invoice for the Porter Road pump station generator repair was $14,000; insurance will cover $13,000 and the Authority’s deductible is $1,000. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for March 10, 2025 at the Township Building.
Why it matters: These approvals finalize near‑term equipment transfers and authorize payment of material invoices that affect the Authority’s operating and capital cash positions.
