Lower Pottsgrove Authority approves minutes, treasurer reports and several bill payments

The Lower Pottsgrove Township Authority voted unanimously on a series of routine governance and finance items during its Sept. 8 meeting.
Sean Pence moved to approve the July 14, 2025 meeting minutes; Joe McGeehan seconded the motion and the vote was 5-0 in favor. Treasurer’s reports presented during the meeting showed account balances of $3,816,952.77 (operating) and $2,099,875.81 (capital) for the Aug. 11 report, and $4,209,356.55 (operating) and $2,079,853.81 (capital) for the Sept. 8 report.
Solicitor Stephen Kalis read the invoices for payment. For the Aug. 11 register the board approved payment of capital invoices totaling $30,437.50 and operating invoices totaling $320,377.44; the operating register included a Borough of Pottstown third-quarter contribution of $280,612.00. For the Sept. 8 register the Authority approved capital payments totaling $20,022.00 (including $15,022 to the Borough of Pottstown for RAS valve replacement, belt filter press and UV work) and operating payments totaling $26,312.82, which included standard operating charges and vendor invoices.
Motions to pay the bills were made by Joe McGeehan (Aug. 11 register) and by Joseph Groff (Sept. 8 register) and were seconded and approved unanimously in each case. The board’s final action was a motion to adjourn by Sean Pence; the meeting ended at 6:45 p.m. The Authority’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 13, 2025 at the Township Building.
