The River Ridge Community Development District Board unanimously appointed longtime resident Keith Merrill to fill the unexpired Seat 1 at its Oct. 22 meeting. The term runs through November 2026.
Chair Bob Schultz nominated Merrill; the motion was seconded by Robert Twombly and approved by the full Board. Mrs. Adams, acting as a notary, administered the Oath of Office. District Counsel Tony Pires and Mrs. Adams reviewed statutory and ethical obligations associated with service, including filing Form 1, the Sunshine Amendment and Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees, and Form 8B (memorandum of voting conflict).
The Board then adopted Resolution 2025-01 to elect officers and remove a prior appointee. Mr. Blumenthal nominated a slate that named Bob Schultz as Chair, Terry Mountford as Vice Chair, Kurt Blumenthal and Robert Twombly as Assistant Secretaries and added Keith Merrill as an Assistant Secretary; the resolution removes James Gilman from the Board’s officer list. On motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Mountford, the resolution was adopted unanimously.
No objections or recorded dissents were noted. The Clerk indicated that required ethics training and disclosure filings will be provided to the newly seated member.
