Board approves multiple administrator appointments and broad consent agenda

The Lakewood City Schools board approved multiple personnel actions and a multi-item consent agenda during its June 15 meeting.
Director of Human Resources Mr. Schleit presented recommendations for administrator appointments. The board approved (by roll-call) certified actions that included the appointment of Rachel Bonsky to a building leadership role at Lakewood High School and recommended assistant-principal and elementary-principal appointments that the board moved to approve. Candidates introduced themselves briefly during the meeting.
During the consent portion of the agenda trustees approved a slate of certified and classified personnel actions: dozens of appointments, resignations and special compensations for certified and classified staff and community-recreation positions. The board also approved a resolution to amend employment contracts for treasury office positions and voted in favor of a cybersecurity governance and disaster-recovery plan at second reading.
Most motions were adopted by roll-call with members indicating approval; the meeting record shows votes called and members responding in the affirmative. No individual motion was tabled or failed at the meeting.
The personnel actions will be reflected in the district’s official personnel records; several approved appointees were introduced and thanked by trustees during the meeting.
