Weber County approves $1.4M in warrants, $85K in purchase orders in consent agenda

During the consent agenda the board considered routine financial items. Ricky Hatch summarized the week’s purchasing and warrant activity: "We issued 10 purchase orders for the amount of $85,000" and 201 payments for about $1.4 million. Hatch said major expenditures included $488,000 for the county transfer station (disposal services), $280,000 in ramp grant awards, $123,000 for roads supplies, $87,000 for health department vehicles and operations, and $75,000 for human resources technology services. He listed the top five payees as Republic Services ($480,000), Ogden City Corporation ($143,000), Tony Divino Enterprises ($77,000), Ogden Pride ($75,000), and Granite Construction Company ($64,000).
The consent items package also included approval of June 9, 2026 meeting minutes; authorization to surplus a 2014 Toyota Prius C and a 2016 Toyota RAV4; an agreement with the Utah Department of Transportation to assist and expedite UDOT permits for utility work in state highway rights-of-way; and several property purchase contracts for the 2200 North project.
A commissioner moved to approve consent items G1 through G7, noting duplicate contracts for Steven Wayman; a second followed and the board voted in favor. The chair announced, "Motion carries."
