The Boone County Board voted June 18 to authorize the sale of Maplerest Care Center under a new purchase agreement with a purchase price of $1.4 million.
County staff explained the sale and the associated closing documents, noting a prior $25,000 escrow deposit from the previous purchaser will remain with the county due to the prior non‑closing. "The purchase price is $1.4 million," county staff member Becky said while describing the attached purchase agreement and closing timetable. The closing was set for the 30th (date in purchase agreement).
The board approved two related resolutions: Resolution 26‑16 authorizing the sale and Resolution 26‑17 naming the county board chairman as the authorized representative to sign sale documents and execute closing. On roll call the motions carried.
Ending: County staff will coordinate closing with the title company and report completion to the board.
