Director Sher Voelker recused herself from the discussion and vote because of a potential conflict of interest; the roll call shows Voelker recorded as Abstain. The motion carried on the remaining votes (Aye votes: Arden Lauxman, Michala Cross, Joseph Harmon, Michael Bell).
Smith also noted that parts expenses for the month were elevated (roughly $10,000) because of a blown turbo on an ambulance in Victorville, underscoring fleet maintenance pressures.
The approved authorization allows staff to proceed with the recommended repairs within the authorized budget. No additional funding sources were specified at the meeting.
