Councilor Lucas presented TC1926 proposing a permanent prohibition on parking on the north side of Oda Street (a narrow 22–23 ft street) after staff said vehicles parked on both sides routinely prevent passage and impede buses and other vehicles. No members of the public requested to speak; Lucas argued the restriction would improve traffic circulation and safety.
Chair Koses moved to approve the change (TPR1046). The council voted 5–0 in favor after a roll call. Councilor Lucas noted the block sits inside the Newtonville neighborhood parking district and staff will update district maps as needed; the change takes effect following the appeals period.
