Council approves 90‑foot 'No parking here to corner' on Cynthia Road after resident reports buses getting stuck

Chair David Koses presented TC2326, a request from resident Ally Schwarz of 5 Cynthia Road for a 90‑foot no‑parking‑here‑to‑corner zone to prevent buses from becoming trapped at the Greenwood Street intersection. Schwarz explained she has repeatedly had to halt traffic to let the school bus back out; she also referenced a recent accident at the location.
Captain Divine, speaking for the police traffic bureau, confirmed reports that buses had gotten stuck at least twice and said he supported the restriction. Councilors also referenced a video staff had seen and noted the item had been placed on the earliest available meeting because of safety concerns.
Chair Koses moved to approve the prohibition (TPR1044); the clerk called the roll and the motion passed unanimously, 5–0. Koses said the signs would be posted after the 20‑day appeals period and following the required Digs Safe utility review so the sign could be installed in time for the next school year.
The approved change creates a permanent regulatory sign (no parking here to corner) placed 5 feet from the driveway and prohibits parking along that 90‑foot stretch at all times.
