Wymore council approves routine minutes, reports and claims; records three abstentions on individual checks

The Wymore City Council approved routine minutes, the treasurer’s report and claims at its Feb. 21 meeting.
City Council members Max Allen and Sue Sapp moved and seconded the motion to approve the minutes; the motion carried 4-0. A motion by Allen, seconded by Curt Oblinger, approved the Treasurer’s Report by the same margin.
The council approved claims and payroll with the exception of checks #27978, #28003 and #28011 (motion by Allen, seconded by Sapp), and later took separate votes on the three checks.
Check #27978: motion to approve by Max Allen, seconded by Sue Sapp; motion carried 3-0 with Councilman Curt Oblinger recorded as abstaining. Check #28003: motion to approve by Sue Sapp, seconded by Curt Oblinger; motion carried 3-0 with Max Allen recorded as abstaining. Check #28011: motion to approve by Sue Sapp, seconded by Curt Oblinger; motion carried 3-0 with Neil Van Boening recorded as abstaining.
The minutes record motions, movers and seconders for each action and show vote tallies as noted. No additional debate or public testimony on the financial items was recorded in the minutes.
The meeting adjournment was moved by Councilwoman Sue Sapp at 7:57 PM and the minutes include signatures from Mayor Collin Meints and Deputy Clerk Krystal Rutti.
