LAC finalizes mental-health resource list and distribution plan for May Mental Health Month

Members reviewed a draft four-page mental-health resource document that lists crisis hotlines (988), local providers and community resources and discussed additions (including the Park County Drop-In Center) and faith-based supports.
"We can add the drop-in center," Jenny Jo Allen said when members asked whether the center should be listed as a provider. A range of local providers were named for inclusion, including Livingston Healthcare, Sage Behavioral Health, Southwest Chemical Dependency, HRDC and other community organizations.
For May (Mental Health Month) the LAC has tabletops with a Park County QR code linking to the updated LAC resource page, coasters and packets for distribution. Members reported assembled packet counts (94 assembled) and coaster inventory (~225). The group agreed to coordinate distribution via an email sign-up and a supply closet in the county commission chambers where members can pick up materials to place in businesses around town.
Laurie Bishop said the tabletops’ QR code links to the county mental-health LAC page and to national Mental Health America materials. Organizers encouraged members and partners to share materials with rural communities and school offices and to coordinate outreach lists via email before the next meeting.
