Commission approves SE-10-26 family transfer after historical-platt review

Park County planning staff recommended approval of SE-10-26 (a Dendy family transfer) after reviewing historical survey records that showed the tract was filed as a subdivision plat in the 1970s but should be treated as a division of land and thus eligible for exemption.
"It turns out that when Hank Wright conducted this survey back in the seventies, he filed this as a subdivision plat even though it wasn't technically a subdivision," Mike Inman, planning staff, told commissioners and summarized that the parcel meets the exemption requirements and that previously set conditions of approval would no longer apply.
Commissioner Wells moved to approve SE-10-26, the motion was seconded and the commission approved the transfer by voice vote.
Staff said the transfer will be filed as a certificate of survey and that no conditions of approval will be attached following the historical review. Commissioners thanked staff and involved consultants for the research that cleared the item for approval.
The approval resolves outstanding platting questions and allows the applicant to proceed with the family transfer process under the county's land-division procedures.
