Board rejects pest-control recommendation and directs rebid after vendor concerns

After an initial motion to table produced uncertainty and an unusual roll-call sequence, the board ultimately voted to reject the administration's recommendation and direct administration to rebid the service so more vendors could have an opportunity to submit prices. The motion to reject the recommendation was made by Mr. Toller and seconded by Miss Richards; the roll-call vote passed.
Board members discussed whether the current service is split between Bay and RPC and whether providing the work all to RPC was appropriate given past complaints. Administration was asked to reissue procurement documents to ensure broader outreach and to return with a new recommendation following the rebid.
