Dennis CPC adopts annual report, agrees to update applicant materials and calendar

The Dennis Community Preservation Committee reviewed and adopted its annual report unanimously. Multiple members praised the work and suggested minor edits before the report is finalized and put on letterhead for distribution.
Committee members also discussed adopting a handbook for applicants that would standardize application requirements, encourage early contact with CPC members, and improve submission completeness. A model handbook from another Cape community was circulated for committee review, and members agreed to draft a local version over the winter for consideration and potential adoption in March.
Members noted that the CPC’s website contained outdated dates. The committee approved an updated schedule for the upcoming grant cycle: an application deadline of May 1, 2026 (first Friday of May at 4 p.m.), annual town meeting on May 5, 2026, and a review schedule leading to a target final vote on Sept. 10. Staff were asked to update the website and email materials to committee members.
