CPC recommends extending housing authority grant payout schedule through 2028

"After 01/01/2026, in the amount equal to the anticipated expenses of the program for the calendar year 2026…not to exceed $75,000," the speaker said when describing the recommended schedule. Committee members discussed timing (April/October cycles referenced in past practice) and confirmed the recommendation would require a select board amendment to the grant agreement.
A motion that the CPC recommend the amendment to the select board was moved and seconded; the committee voted to send the recommendation. Members also asked that the grantee provide an audit of clientele by Dec. 31 of the current year so administrators can verify enrollments consistent with the three-year funding cycle.
Because the CPC’s action is a recommendation, the select board must approve any amendment to the grant agreement before the modified payment schedule takes effect.
