Midway CDRA adopts tentative FY 2027 budget, sets public hearing for June 2

The Community Development and Renewal Agency of Midway City adopted a tentative fiscal year 2027 budget at its meeting on May 19, 2026, and set a public hearing for June 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Midway Community Center.
Brad Wilson, the agency secretary, reviewed the tentative budget and said the only immediate amount requested was $525 to cover state filing or processing fees. "Only $525 was needed, which was for state fees," Wilson said during his review.
Board Member Andy Garland moved to adopt the tentative FY 2027 budget and to set the public hearing for June 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Midway Community Center. Board Member Kevin Payne seconded the motion. The board recorded five ayes and approved the motion.
Earlier on the agenda the board approved the minutes of the June 17, 2025 CDRA meeting. Board Member Lisa Orme moved to approve those minutes, with Kevin Payne seconding. The motion carried with Orme, Payne and Chair Craig Simons voting aye and Board Members Andy Garland and Andrew Osborne recorded as abstaining.
The meeting was called to order by Chair Craig Simons at 9:31 p.m. and adjourned at 9:38 p.m. Notices and the meeting agenda had been posted at local businesses and on the Utah State Public Notice Website and Midway City’s website, and a copy of the public notice/agenda is included in the supplemental file. The agency will hold the public hearing on the tentative FY 2027 budget on June 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Midway Community Center.
