Audubon County supervisors approve utility permit for Guthrie County REC and authorize farm lease bidding

The Audubon County Board of Supervisors voted “all in favor” at a special meeting on Nov. 5, 2025, approving a utility permit for Guthrie County REC and authorizing the county to advertise a parcel of county-owned farmland for lease.

Chairman Heath Hansen called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m. and recorded present: Heath Hansen, Don Mosinski (by phone), Chassity Musfeldt and Mitch Rydl. The meeting adjourned at 2:09 p.m.

Supervisor Don Mosinski moved to approve the meeting agenda, with a correction to the township number noted on the utility permit; Chairman Heath Hansen seconded the motion and the board voted all in favor. Mosinski then moved, with Hansen seconding, to approve a utility permit for Guthrie County REC that covers sections 12 and 13, R34W T79, in Greeley Township along 240th Street. The board again voted all in favor.

Mosinski moved and Hansen seconded a motion to advertise county-owned farm ground for lease. The board specified the lease as a three-year rental contract running from March 1, 2026, through Feb. 28, 2029. Bids must be submitted to the Audubon County Auditor’s Office by 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 28, 2025; the advertisement will run in the Advocate & Tribune for two weeks prior to the bid deadline. Auditor/Clerk Chassity Musfeldt was listed in the record as the attesting official.

No public testimony or extended discussion appears in the meeting record; each motion was approved by an all-in-favor vote. The special meeting concluded with adjournment at 2:09 p.m.
