Ron Hal told the board the dispensary would make Sutter Creek a county hub for retail marijuana and said, "This dispensary will be as big a problem for all surrounding cities and towns in Amador County as it is for Sutter Creek." Suzanne H. cited behavioral-health concerns and shared summaries of county health-staff feedback about adolescent use trends after retail legalization in neighboring counties.
Superintendent Crutchfield and several trustees said they share public safety and youth-access concerns.
